Our recommendation is that all riders wear protective riding gear including motorcycle boots (shorter style adventure boots recommended), body armour, approved Australian motorcycle helmets, chest armour, knee and elbow guards, gloves, and goggles/visor. Bring a sleeping bag and pillow (please see trip inclusions), bring cash for items such as souvenirs and a beer as most of the accommodation stopovers will have a licensed bar. A backpack to keep any personal items that you wish to remain with you.
We try not to camp where possible, but accommodation in some areas is very limited so please book as early as possible so that we can arrange accommodation.
(Day 1) Meet at Centenary Park, Nautilus St Trinity beach for a briefing, then helmets on heading north, along the scenic coastal rd towards Port Douglas stopping at Rex’s lookout for pics. Lets take aim and we can try out our shooting skills at the rifle range. Then we travel through Malanda and meet the Daintree ferry. Once across we will stop for lunch in the Daintree village. Then off we go taking on the famous Bloomfield track, 30kms of unsealed roads, river crossings and steep ups and downs through the tropical rainforest stopping occasionally for a break and to take in the scenery along the way. Next stop, the famous Lions Den Hotel, great food and a great atmosphere! You could take a dip in the local creek, sit and chat before a hot shower and dinner.
(Day 2) Up for an easy going morning and a full cooked breakfast, then helmets on and it’s time to set off to Cooktown for a spot of fishing before lunch. Lets go do some exploring there’s lots of great historical locations in and around Cooktown. Late afternoon, it’s time for checking into our accommodation for the night and maybe a drink and relax around the swimming pool. After Dinner, for those that want to, you can go for a walk, check out the local bars/pubs or stay and chill at the hotel.
(Day 3) After a full cooked breakfast it’s time to say goodbye to Cooktown as we have a big day ahead of us setting off and heading south towards the very famous Creb Track
(only if its open and weather allows!) We will definitely need some well deserved refreshment stops along the way. Then off to the Daintree Village for lunch and some sight seeing and a walk on the beach or may be some shopping for local souvenirs. After booking into our Daintree accommodation we can take a trip on the river boat tour to see if you can spot some saltwater crocs. We have definitely had a long day and probably need to relax at our accommodation.
(Day 4) After breakfast there’s a short ride to the ferry setting off back towards Cairns. We will stop at Port Douglas for a refreshment break and may be an ice cream. Heading back over the costal road if times on our side we could stop at Palm Cove. Arrive back at Centenary Park, Nautilus St Trinity beach.
